What are the highlights of the OPPO K14 Plus?
At the heart of the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX processor, manufactured using a 4nm process and equipped with a 5,000mm² vapor chamber for enhanced thermal performance. It is paired with UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR4X RAM. OPPO notes that the Dimensity 7360 MAX is an upgraded version of the Dimensity 7360 found in several previous vivo models (including the S2, V70 FE, and V60e). The company claims it achieves an AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding one million points. The 6.7-inch 1.5K AMOLED display supports a 144Hz refresh rate and offers a peak brightness of 3,600 nits. It also features 2160Hz PWM dimming, which helps reduce eye strain during prolonged viewing. This high-brightness, high-contrast display allows the K14 Plus to compete effectively with rivals such as the POCO X8 and Moto Edge 70 Fusion.
In terms of battery life, the 8,000mAh capacity stands out. OPPO claims that a single charge supports over 12 hours of continuous BGMI gameplay at 60fps or more than 20 hours of YouTube video playback. It also features 45W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge technology for rapid charging. While the POCO X8 boasts a larger 9,000mAh battery, the K14 Plus’s capacity should be sufficient for most intensive daily use.
Regarding the camera, the rear setup utilizes a 50MP, 1/2-inch Smartsense SC532HS sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS), paired with a 2MP monochrome lens. A 16MP front-facing camera, housed in a circular punch-hole cutout, handles selfies and video recording. The sensor size exceeds that of the Realme P4s’s 50MP, 1/2.88-inch sensor, suggesting superior image quality for the K14 Plus—at least on paper.
The phone comes pre-installed with ColorOS 16.5 based on Android 17, making it the first OPPO device to launch with this OS version. Regarding software support, the company promises two major Android OS upgrades and three years of security patches. Built-in AI tools—including AI Recomposition, AI Eraser, AI Writing, and AI Translation—are integrated into the Gallery and other applications.
In terms of durability, the device features an IP69K rating for water and dust resistance, capable of withstanding high-pressure water jets and submersion, while its reinforced body structure effectively absorbs impact from drops. Additionally, the phone includes an IR blaster for controlling home appliances like TVs, air conditioners, and set-top boxes, along with stereo speakers that deliver an immersive audio experience. All in all, the OPPO K14 Plus aims to deliver reliable performance, a vivid display, and long-lasting battery life for everyday users.
Is the OPPO K14 Plus worth buying? Initial impressions
During our brief time with the OPPO K14 Plus, we were deeply impressed by its outstanding battery life, which lasted over two days on a single charge. Meanwhile, the 6.7-inch 1.5K AMOLED display delivered crisp, vibrant visuals across platforms like YouTube, Amazon Prime, and others. Although the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX processor might not stand out in benchmark tests, it is more than capable of handling daily tasks such as browsing social media and the web, multitasking, and more.
The 50-megapixel main camera delivers decent image quality, though its natural color science might strike some users as producing somewhat muted tones. In terms of handling and portability, the phone weighs 207g; despite housing a massive 8,000mAh battery, it remains comfortable to hold even during extended video viewing sessions. Priced at ₹25,999, the K14 Plus is undoubtedly a solid choice for users seeking multi-day battery life, an excellent display, and smooth performance.
