BGMI Air to launch in India next month
Krafton India has announced that BGMI Air will officially go live in India on December 10. The company describes this new title as a lightweight version of Battlegrounds Mobile India, which has already surpassed 14 million pre-registrations on the Google Play Store.
Prior to the official launch, Krafton will provide a select number of players with the opportunity to test the game. The closed beta for BGMI Air will take place from November 20 to 24 in Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata. The company stated that player feedback collected during this testing phase will be used to refine the game, ensuring it is further polished ahead of its official release.
To become one of the first players to experience BGMI Air, you can post a 15–60 second gameplay video explaining why you should be among the initial group of users. You must also tag the game’s official social media accounts and submit an application form. The form can be found in the bio section for BGMI Air, as well as on BGMI’s official Instagram account, @battlegroundsmobilein_official. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid government-issued photo ID, and have an existing BGMI account.
Krafton has confirmed that the initial download size for BGMI Air is approximately 1GB. It is primarily designed for players who are unable to experience the full version of BGMI due to device limitations or insufficient storage space.
BGMI Air will be released as a standalone application, but existing BGMI players will be able to retain their current progress and accounts without the need for migration. KRAFTON has not yet announced the minimum system requirements or Android version compatibility. Previously known as BGMI Lite, the game was renamed BGMI Air by KRAFTON India last month.
